Camp Directors/Counselors

Our camp counselors and directors are the backbone of Catholic Youth Camp.  They are the people campers remember for years.  Most of our counselors and directors look back at their years as campers and can still point to the counselor that influenced them.

Counselors
To be a counselor you must be 16 years old and fill out an application online or download the paper version and send it by mail. Counselors volunteer for one week of camp.  They are trained by our professional staff and learn valuable leadership skills and most will tell you they grew personally from their experiences at camp and had fun doing it. 

Directors
Our Directors are chosen from our best counselors.  They must be 21 years old to be a director and will had to have served a year as a Director in Training. (DIT)  We strive to continually improve the skills or our directors and annually evaluate their effectiveness and leadership.

ALL of our counselors and directors receive VIRTUS training and any counselor 18 years or older is asked to complete a background check.
